Helsinki XR Center is an incubator for talent, a cultural hub for co-creation and learning for all XR artists, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, students and enthusiasts. Helsinki XR Center is operated by Metropolia UAS together with Finnish Virtual Reality Association FIVR.
An overview of the Finnish XR ecosystem in 2017, with information of current business, research and education initiatives and network groups of the VR, AR and MR technology field. It serves as a database and contact point for all individuals interested in the opportunities that immersive technologies have to offer in Finland today.
Digital Media Finland’s VR/AR report presents basic information on the current state of the VR/AR market and suggestions how the Finnish VR/AR companies could enter the international market and grow. The report was commissioned by Nokia Technologies.
Mixed Reality Report
The main focus of the study is to provide a somewhat coherent view of the VR/AR possibilities open to game developers at the moment, and describe some of the future possibilities in the field.
The report was commissioned by Business Finland (formerly known as Tekes, the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation and Technology) and conducted in cooperation by Neogames Finland, the Hub of the Finnish Game Industry and Finnish Virtual Reality Association.
The program by Business Finland offers Finnish companies funding and networks for the development and utilization of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) solutions in business operations.
